Wash Machine Wars

I would have had time to post pics of all my new creations had I not been at war with my washing machine...

It all started at 10pm Sunday night. I wanted to put the "Up North" laundry in. Yes, I started that late. I didn't see them but I am positive that there were ticks, outside scuz or a bug had looked at the clothes so they needed to be washed and right then and there. Can you tell I am NOT an avid outdoor person? I was already having washer issues but thought I had just overloaded it. I actually stood there in my laundry room at 10:50 when it was ready to spin and rinse to see that it was going. Twenty minutes later when I was starting to fall asleep there it was... That beep that I thought was cute- kind of like a chord- when we first got our machine. Not so much now since it went off at least 25 times in the last 24 hours. After about the 10th time of me moving things around in the load hoping it would finish and spin, I began to refer to the washer as though it was alive using not so affectionate names for it... use your imagination. So I shut it off for the night.

I was dreaming about all the creatures now free to roam my house because I couldn't wash them out. Not since the crazy garage door opener have I been driven that far. Whole different story. So, anyhow, I finally was mad enough to empty the whole thing out and ask for help when I saw it wasn't draining right. Long story short, I know too late, there was a dime stuck in the drain tube that is only reachable by tipping the machine over (yes with all the water going everywhere). Design flaw or some repair person conspiracy. Ha, my Dad who lives 2 minutes away knew what to do...

I do at least 10 loads a week in a good week so, I know things need to be cleaned out but, that was not so accessible... I reloaded, too much, beeps again... took out some of the stuff, THREW it on the floor and finally, I got to the end of the cycle. There were so many better things I was pretending I would have done without this happening. Wish me luck, now I need to do the regular everyday laundry. I hope there is no change in the pockets!!!

Brain Power

Dust off the cobwebs and get thinking!!!

A barrel of water weighs 20 pounds. What must you add to it to make it weigh12 pounds?

Last week's answer-

There were more than two babies...

WHOA! It's time to stop!

I've been beading all weekend. It was great! The older 4 kids were gone with Dad and the baby naps a lot! I have tons of new bling-well see how much I am willing to part with! I'll post some pictures once the camera returns with my family. A few friends came over as well so I got adult time in on top of it all. Oh yes, and no real meals, just good snacks! I just don't want to stop now that I am on a roll. My newest bead addict friends and I have even picked out our next project that I will teach them. But, back to reality! I have to find something to make for supper and quick!

Maybe just one more pair of earrings...

What is your skin type?

I have had quite a few questions about this when people are trying to pick which sample pack to try, so here is a handy tool. You can also go to http://www.jennofer.lbri.com/ for more information. Click on products.

Here’s How to Determine Your Skin Type
Each of us has a particular skin type. Maybe your skin is dry. Perhaps it is oily, or a combination of the two. There are five basic skin types, each determined by heredity and your environment. Factors such as sunlight, wind, air pollution, diet, and stress make a huge impact on the look and feel of your skin. Before selecting the L’Bri Pure n’ Natural products that are best for you, determine your skin type. Which of the following best describe your skin:

Normal Skin Normal Skin is the goal of every skin care program. Normal Skin is like that of a child, not too oily or dry with few, if any, blemishes. Normal Skin appears moist, plump, and dewy. The pores are small to medium in size. The skin is of medium thickness and even in tone. Normal Skin is soft, smooth, and firm with good elasticity. Key Description: Balanced.

For Normal Skin, order the L’Bri Gentle Skin Care Trio.

Oily Skin Oily Skin exhibits a shiny appearance and is usually thicker, firmer, and less sensitive to the touch than the other types. The pores, visibly more noticeable, are medium to large in size. Individuals with Oily Skin tend to experience recurring clogged pores, blackheads, whiteheads, and blemishes. Key Description: Overactive.

For Oily Skin with no break-outs, order the L’Bri Deep Pore Skin Care Trio.

For Oily Skin with break-outs, order the L’Bri Deep Pore Cleanser, Deep Pore Freshener, and use L’Bri Aloe Jelly as your moisturizer.

For Oily Skin that is excessively oily with blemishes or acne, order the L’Bri Deep Pore Cleanser, Deep Pore Freshener, and use L’Bri Aloe Jelly as your moisturizer. We also suggest using L’Bri’s KlearAway lotion, which is specially formulated with blemish fighting ingredients to prevent new blemishes from occurring while speeding the healing of existing blemishes.

Dry Skin Dry Skin feels tight and may exhibit visible flaking. Often delicate and easily irritated, Dry Skin may be sensitive to cold weather. Dry Skin has the appearance of a matte finish, lacking sheen. It may be rough to the touch. The appearance of Dry Skin may be due to a superficial dry condition caused by exposure to sun, sea, air, wind, or pollutants. A superficial dry condition can be aggravated by using soap as a cleanser or by failing to apply a protective moisturizer. Certain skin diseases such as eczema, mild psoriasis, or atopic dermatitis can be mistaken for Dry Skin. Key Description: Underactive.

For Dry Skin, order the L’Bri Gentle Skin Care Trio.

For extremely Dry Skin, order the L’Bri Gentle Cleanser, Gentle Freshener, and Intense Moisture Cream.

Combination Skin Those with Combination Skin exhibit two or more skin type characteristics on various parts of the face. For example, the forehead, nose, and chin (known as the T-Zone) may be oily while the cheeks and around the eyes are Normal to Dry. Approximately 95 percent of individuals with Combination Skin fit this description. Combination Skin may involve an oily forehead, dry cheeks, but normal everywhere else, or skin that is normal in the T-Zone and dry everywhere else. Key Description: Asymmetric.

For Combination Skin, order the L’Bri Combination Skin Trio, which consists of the Deep Pore Cleanser, Gentle Freshener, and Gentle Moisturizer.

Sensitive Skin Sensitive Skin tends to overreact to environmental influences such as sun, wind, temperature extremes, and some cosmetics. Easily irritated, this skin type exhibits redness or a rash, itching, stinging, or a burning sensation. Sensitive Skin may develop distended or broken capillaries and allergic reactions. Usually sunburns easily.
Key Description: Delicate.

For Sensitive Skin, order the L’Bri Gentle Skin Trio.

A friend sent me this this morning and it made me laugh! Enjoy...

Brain power

Just a llittle thinking to get the brain going for the week! I know my brain got a bit mushy this summer!

A woman had two sons who were born on the same hour of the same day of the same year. But they were not twins. How could this be so?
